Trestle Community Management today announced that Gardenia Banks, CMCA, AMS, Community Association Manager has received her Association Management Specialist (AMS) designation as awarded by the Community Associations Institute (CAI). Gardenia works with Trestle’s Condominium Practice team, which specializes in meeting the unique management needs of garden-style condominium homes.

Trestle prioritizes continuing education for all team members. This focus helps Trestle and its team ensure they maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry and in turn, provide the best possible advisory service to Trestle Clients.

“Association homeowners, board members and home developers seek qualified professionals to manage their communities,” said Bob Brencic, President of Trestle Community Management. “They have fiduciary responsibilities that compel them to make decisions that can have profound financial and social impacts on their communities. To help ensure they have the expert guidance necessary to manage communities most effectively, Trestle Community Management continually invests in improving the skills and abilities of our Community Managers, and to earn credentials awarded by CAI.”

The AMS designation recognizes ongoing professional development and industry expertise for Community Association Managers. AMS designees must first pass the difficult Certified Manager of Community Associations exam, administered by the National Board of Certification for Community Association Managers (NBC-CAM) to obtain their Certified Manager of Community Association (CMCA) designation. Additionally, they must have at least two years of verified association management experience, have successfully completed more than 16 hours of advanced specialized instruction by attending community association-specific courses provided by CAI, and comply with CAI’s Professional Manager Code of Ethics. To maintain the AMS designation, they must meet continuing education requirements which allows them to remain current in industry-related matters, trends, and changes.
