On Thursday, May 13th, Governor Jay Inslee announced that all counties will move to Phase 3 of Washington’s Healthy Washington – Roadmap to Recovery on May 18, 2021. Currently, all Washington counties except Pierce, Cowlitz, Ferry and Whitman are in Phase 3. In response to a continuing decline in COVID-19 cases Statewide, the State is expected to fully reopen on June 30th. The reopening date could be sooner if 70% of the population aged 16 and up initiates vaccination. Currently, 56% of Washingtonians aged 16 and up have initiated vaccination. If the State’s ICU capacity reaches 90%, the reopening date could be pushed back.
Additionally, as the situation is evolving, it is not yet known if Washington’s State of Emergency will be lifted on June 30th. On January 19th, Proclamation 20-51 was extended to remain in effect until the State of Emergency is terminated or rescinded. As a reminder, Proclamation 20-51 restricts Associations from charging late fees to delinquent owners. It also allows Associations to hold remote meetings and obtain votes via mail and electronic means.
